"To promote the appreciation of Queensland's railway heritage and to maintain authenticity in the recording and preservation of this heritage"

1800 class

Another railmotor under restoration at the Rosewood Railway is RM 1815, one of 12 cars and 12 trailers built in the early 1950s with 114 kW (150 hp) 6 cylinder Gardner diesel engines. These were painted blue and silver and initially ran as 4 car sets. RM 1815 has been partially restored by Greg Adams who donated it to the Society. It is the last surviving 1800 series motor car. photo : J. Cash
