Join us for a day tour by steam train to the Laidley Spring Festival which will be in full swing with the Laidley Flower Show, Street Procession, Orchid Shows, and Arts and Craft displays on September 11th. There will be time there to explore this prosperous town with its 3 hotels and many shops.
The train meanwhile will run a local tour over "the hill" to Grandchester and then return to Laidley.
Please note that the train portion of this tour will commence from Ipswich due to major track and bridge works associated with the upgrade of the Ipswich Motorway. A special bus has been arranged for passengers joining the tour at Roma Street.
Train Information
The recently restored C17 class steam locomotive no. 974 has been requested for this tour and is expected to be available. Wooden carriages from QR's heritage fleet will be used.

Conditions
ARHS Qld. Div. members may deduct 10% from the Brisbane to Laidley and return fares (maximum five people) if paid for by 11th August 2010.
JUNIOR RAIL FANS' CLUB: Any JRFC member accompanied by an adult may travel free.
