The Rosewood Railway Timetable and Fares

Our railway is currently split in two, from a bridge collapse (over which runs a road) during the 1974 floods. Railmotors 2033 & 2038 can be ridden from Museum junction to Perry's Nob, where a courtesy coach takes passengers to ride the Steam, Diesel or Railmotor train from Cabanda to the main museum at Kunkala.

The lower section of the railway is not operating this running day - Please proceed to Cabanda Station for train rides.

  • from Museum Junction to Perry's Nob and return by railcar (Adult $8.00, Child $4.00) (not available - lower section out-of-use)
  • from Museum Junction to Kunkala and return by railcar, bus and steam train (Adult $14.00, Child $7.00) (not available - lower section out-of-use)
  • from Cabanda to Kunkala and return by steam, Diesel, or Red Fred (Adult $8.00, Child $4.00).
  • Special charters can be arranged for steam trains, diesel trains or railmotors. Charter costs for railmotors, steam or diesel trains are available from the Manager.
