No, it's not C17 720 at Rosewood Railway, or the recently returned to service C17 974. Instead, it's over 200 recordings of steam locomotives working during the last years of steam in Queensland, from 1966 to 1969.
These recordings have been in the safe hands of the Victorian division for the last 40 or so years, and for the most part the recordings have not been heard by many. Now the tapes have come to Queensland to be digitised before they degrade and the historic recordings are lost.
See the audio page in the gallery for more information. If you'd like to own a CD with new, unheard recordings, or would simply like a new digital copy of your current LPs (CDs remastered from the original master tapes), contact the webmaster.
